Pyramid is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in the enhancement of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This position will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and reliability of our web-based ATS, which is being transformed from a manual, email and SharePoint-based process to a highly automated, user-friendly Salesforce platform.
Lead and/or participate independently in various software testing methodologies, including front-end functional testing, JAVA API backend testing, system integration testing, E2E regression testing, performance testing, and load testing.
Design, write, and revise automated test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
Execute automated test cases/test scripts to validate results for accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established standards.
Identify, record, and track defects, working closely with development teams for resolution.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation design and product evaluation processes to achieve efficient and economical software quality.
Analyze system requirements and convert them into detailed test cases (positive, negative, exceptions, etc.).
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing within the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Provide support for application defects and runtime issues, ensuring timely acknowledgment and resolution according to priority schedules.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of training documentation as required.
Adhere to all DoD and NCIS directives, instructions, and procedures regarding information security, confidentiality, and non-disclosure.
Ensure all automated testing efforts align with the security controls and overlays required for the Navy RMF IL4 ATO.
5 or more years of experience in development and/or testing functional programs and applications in a related field.
Demonstrated experience with at least one front-end automated test tool (e.g., Protractor, Selenium, TestStack.White, Mocha) and one back-end automation test tool (e.g., TestNG, SOAPUI, Groovy, Cucumber, POSTMAN).
Experience working in fast-paced automation testing projects, preferably within a federal client domain.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques, preferably Agile SCRUM.
Ability to create automation test cases and manage defects effectively.
Experience with Test Management tools such as Xray, JIRA, Confluence, HP ALM, and/or Quality Center.
Technical Skills:
Strong JAVA coding and scripting language preferred.
Ability to use various testing tools efficiently.
