Overview

Pyramid is seeking a Senior Principal Cybersecurity as a recognized thought leader and trusted advisor within the organization. The selected leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of secure enterprise operations and driving business growth. This role blends deep technical expertise with high-impact leadership in business development, innovation, and client engagement across federal and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cybersecurity executive and technical strategist, leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced security architectures aligned with evolving federal mandates and business priorities.

  • Identify, shape, and drive new business opportunities by translating technical capabilities into client-focused solutions, supporting capture strategies, and leading capability briefings with executive stakeholders.

  • Lead high-profile cybersecurity initiatives, serving as program lead for the integration of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, FedRAMP, DITSCAP/DIACAP) and certification/accreditation efforts.

  • Develop and direct enterprise-level security strategies, risk management approaches, privacy policies, and system contingency planning to meet regulatory and mission-critical objectives.

  • Act as a principal investigator and innovator, researching and developing forward-looking security technologies and applications that position the company as a market leader in cybersecurity solutions.

  • Represent the company in industry forums, client engagements, and partner ecosystems to promote cybersecurity capabilities and thought leadership.

  • Mentor cross-functional technical teams and junior staff, cultivating next-generation cybersecurity leaders and reinforcing a culture of innovation, accountability, and mission focus.

  • Collaborate with business units, solution architects, and executive leadership to align security investments with broader digital transformation goals and new market opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related technical field.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and information assurance, with a strong track record of technical leadership and business development success in federal or regulated environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical capture efforts, author white papers, deliver strategic briefings, and shape proposals.

  • Recognized subject matter expert in cybersecurity compliance and accreditation processes, risk assessment, secure architecture design, and emerging cyber threats.

  • Ability to travel as required for corporate and customer meetings.

Target Pay Range

The below listed pay range for this position is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The final offered salary will be influenced by a host of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
