Pyramid is looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer with Agile, Cloud, and DevOps experience to join recently awarded contract supporting the Department of Homeland Security.
Responsibilities
Understand the current cloud architecture and responsible for development, implementation, and support of the cloud infrastructure.
Build, automate and manage complex multi-tier stacks developed using heterogeneous technology platforms in AWS.
Support multiple agile development teams.
Practices sound security engineering principles with good understanding of FISMA and NIST 800-53 controls.
Support deployment and troubleshooting activities in serverless/containerized environments using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS ECS.
Support the development of all required documentation to support engineering, security and operational processes and keep them up to date.
Qualifications
US Citizenship Required
Must be able to pass and maintain a DHS clearance.
At least 5 years or more experience in the field in the related industry
Advance knowledge and hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and operationalizing multi-tier production stacks in AWS.
Experience with deploying, testing, and managing enterprise applications in the cloud environments including production.
Passionately practices Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar.
Lives and breathes automation pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitLab, or similar.
Strong system administration experience in Linux with fluency in Bash.
Strong understanding of AWS networking services, including VPC, route tables, VPC flow logs, VPC peering, ALB/NLB.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Kubernetes, Cluster Management, Docker/Containers and how to troubleshoot Kubernetes deployments is required.
Knowledge and hands on experience with programming and infrastructure automation is highly desirable.
Experience securing cloud environments is highly desirable.
Fluent in at least one major programming language such as TypeScript, Java, Python similar is highly preferred.
Familiarity with different auditing mechanisms/tools within AWS environment and integration with Splunk is preferred.
Strong team player who loves to collaborate and mentor with an infectious can-do attitude.
Excellent verbal communication skills to communicate well within cross-functional teams and business/operations stakeholders
