Overview

Pyramid is seeking a proven Program Manager to lead contract start up and delivery of services for a large government client.  The selected individual will lead program execution, responsible for cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction, while leading and developing a staff of technical professionals.  The selected individual lead program execution in a hands-on manner, working directly with federal government leaders to deliver program results.  Day to day activities include project execution, client management, resource management, budgetary tracking, monitoring deliverables, staff development, and addressing requests for on-contract growth.

 

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strong Agile DevOps project leadership, contract / financial management, and leadership skills; supported by calm, clear communications, and the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and other vendors.  This person will also lead and empower team members to work directly with the client and important stakeholders to delivery program results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the program(s) and ensure compliance with program processes, contractual obligations, policies, and procedures
  • Provide effective, clear communications at the executive/strategic level as well as to individual contributors, and the team. Able to translate complex data into actionable information while being results-oriented.
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Effectively manage the clients’ expectations and track program processes to ensure superior performance and customer experience throughout the project/program
  • Supervise staff throughout project(s) lifecycle(s) to ensure cost effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and contract compliance
  • Develop, update, improve and execute project/program processes, policies, and procedures to ensure superior performance throughout the program, by performing quality and productivity reviews and audits.
  • Identify and respond to opportunities for on-contract growth
  • Support the development of proposals such as level of effort estimates, work breakdown structures, and analysis of the statement of work as needed
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Mentor and develop Project Staff
  • Identify mutually beneficial areas for the client and Pyramid to expand our partnership.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Contract delivery oversight; timely decisions; and effective and proactive communication with stakeholders
  • Accountability, effective and proactive communication, resource allocation, and risk identification and mitigation
  • Experience managing program budget
  • Significant experience in Agile practices

 

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of federal project/program management experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Excellent client relationship and management skills
  • Strong communication, visual presentation, and analytical skills are a must.
  • Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance
  • Experience managing or monitoring the full lifecycle for software development projects. Experience with Agile and DevOps preferred.
  • Self-Motivated, Proactive, Organized, and Dependable
  • Capable of managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience with project manager functions such as Estimation, Scope Management, Scheduling, Issue/Risk Management, etc.
  • Good with managing requirements including eliciting, documenting, reviewing, and managing changing requirements.
  • Experience in customer service, leadership, and quality management
  • Excellent presentation skills and executive communication
  • Proactive resource planning skills.
  • Excellent project financials experience.
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Desired Certifications:

  • Certified Agile Project Manager (IAPM)
  • Certified Agile Coach (ICP – ACC)
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
