Overview: Pyramid is looking for a passionate deputy Program Manager that will be responsible for delivering Agile projects and driving organic growth in support of our various Federal Government contracts. As a deputy Program Manager with a strong analytical background, you will lead multiple project teams within a portfolio through the entire software delivery lifecycle. You will evaluate solutions, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and help balance the business needs versus technical constraints. We are looking for someone who is passionate about planning and executing, and can boldly lead happy, healthy teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complete lifecycle for multiple software development projects in a Federal Government contracting environment.
  • Serve as one of the main points of contact for senior government clients, including procurement, IT, and business stakeholders
  • Understand and manage stakeholder needs and priorities to ensure the needs are translated into accurate requirements, they are prioritized in to appropriate releases, and delivery meets business demands
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders
  • Work with multiple teams and resources including User Experience, System Architecture, User Interface Design and Development, System Development, Performance Engineering, Testing, Transition, and IT Operations and get them to march towards a common goal
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues
  • Maintain meticulous records of project and program financials, issues, risks, decisions, schedules.
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations to management based on best practices and experience working in environments.
  • Support business development, proposal activities, and white papers to promote Pyramid, identify new opportunities, and win.
  • Support and drive organic growth within a federal agency.

Qualifications

  • Excellent client relationship and management skills
  • Strong communication, visual presentation, and analytical skills are a must
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience in a federal IT environment managing across the full lifecycle for software development projects. Experience with Agile and DevOps preferred.
  • Capable of managing multiple competing priorities
  • Account management, business development, capture management, proposal writing, and client engagement skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Strong skills to effectively interface with client executives and multi-disciplined development
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, including client relationships and team facilitation
  • General understanding of the business environment, models, and motivations

Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • 5 years of successful organic growth experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Federal Government Contracting principles, deliverables, IDIQs / BPAs from a delivery operations perspective
  • Successful experience leading or making significant contributions to proposals in the Federal IT industry
