Pyramid is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and resourceful analyst to directly support business development and growth objectives at our Fairfax, VA location. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Growth Officer, this highly visible position will work with senior leaders across Pyramid to provide market research and business development operations support.


  • Provide market research and analysis in support of corporate business development and strategic planning activities.
  • Develop competitor analysis, opportunity analysis, strategic account planning, marketing, and opportunity pipeline management.
  • Responsible for managing business development opportunity pipeline, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Work closely and proactively with operations, contracts, and proposal staff across company to ensure the highest levels of data quality and accuracy.
  • Create and disseminate pipeline reports to key stakeholders providing necessary data and analysis to support operations.
  • Measure pipeline quality and identify pipeline trends to measure performance and inform business strategy
  • Work with executive-level leadership to shape market entry strategies and business development agendas that result from the analysis of market trends, budgets, policy, procurements and acquisition, competitor intelligence, regional demographics, and client challenges.
  • Support capture process through the development of Black Hat analyses, detailed competitive analyses, and teaming analyses for the company's largest opportunity pursuits.
  • Develop analysis to support key opportunity pursuits across the entire business.
  • Develop analysis to support strategic growth objectives (geographic / customer / capability expansion).
  • Expand training efforts to improve company-wide skills related to market research, competitive intelligence, and strategic planning


Candidate should have Federal IT-focused market research skills supporting full BD lifecycle. We are looking for a highly-motivated, energetic candidate with a curious nature and desire to learn. Professional training in Sales, BD, or Capture highly desired.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, economics, MIS, or similar field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of market research and business development support in the Federal IT Market.
  • Advanced-level skills in Excel is a must; proficiency in PowerPoint highly desired
  • Experience with market research and analysis tools (e.g., Deltek GovWin, Bloomberg, Gartner, Forrester, etc.) highly desired.
  • Demonstrated successful market research and pipeline management experience
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking tools/approaches highly desired
