Overview

Pyramid is looking for a creative, innovative, capture management professional to directly support Pyramid’s growth in the Federal Civilian market at our Fairfax, VA location.  Reporting to the SVP, Chief Growth Officer, this highly visible position will work with the most senior managers across Pyramid to create winning strategies and differentiated solutions in our Fairfax, VA location.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of win strategy, including the recruiting and selection of teaming partners and determination of solution.
  • Creating innovative, compelling, and differentiated technical, management, and business solutions in line with customer needs and budget
  • Developing Win Themes/Discriminators in collaboration with technology, contracts, operations, and business development organizations.
  • Understanding customer’s technical environment within which solution will be implemented.
  • Building customer domain understanding and knowledge; leading collaboration with customer on potential solution
  • Establishing and leading capture team activities from qualification through post submittal, working in partnership with the proposal manager.
  • Determining staffing needs and priorities of capture team; identifying and selecting key personnel
  • Assessing competitive marketplace, conducting competitive SWOT analyses, and leading Black Hat reviews
  • Managing relationships with partners and subcontractors.
  • Preparing for and leading the BD lifecycle gate reviews from preliminary bid decision through submit bid decision.
  • Driving the price-to-win strategy and ensuring a fully integrated business solution with technical and management approaches

Qualifications

Candidate should have broad experience across full BD lifecycle. Experience in developing compelling and differentiated solutions is essential. Professional training in Sales, BD, or Capture highly desired.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of professional capture experience in the Federal IT Market
  • Knowledge on IT processes and technologies relevant to customer domain, including key tool vendors
  • Familiarity with key IT initiatives including agile, cloud, IT modernization, cybersecurity, data analytics, etc.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of a variety of contract types including cost plus, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting are key.
  • Familiarity with major acquisition strategies and contract vehicles
