  • Overview

    Pyramid is looking for a results-driven and self-motivated individual to drive opportunities through the business development (BD) lifecycle, from early and ongoing solution and pricing strategy to partner identification, proposal development, and management of client relationships. Aligning to existing processes, this individual will collaborate with Pyramid’s Technology, Proposals, Contracts, and Program departments to win business. The ideal candidate will have strong connections to Federal agencies with relationships built through researching, networking, and marketing.

    Responsibilities

    BD and Capture Management

    • Delivers measurable financial results through successful capture management of significant efforts.
    • Identifies and generates new opportunity leads including shaping opportunities in favor of Pyramid.
    • Maintains a priority-focused opportunity pipeline.
    • Drives opportunities from identification through established gate review process to proposal submission.
    • Assesses competition to determine opportunity landscape.
    • Forms teams to increase win probability, as necessary.

      Understands Federal agencies’ strategic plans, budgets, objectives.

    Proposals

    • Collaborates with Pyramid’s Proposal Center to create compelling proposals.
    • Supports internal proposal reviews as well as solution workshops.
    • Identifies resources for proposal opportunities.
    • Completes RFI submissions with Proposal Center support.

    Internal Relationship Management

    • Works closely and proactively with technology, operations, contracts, and proposal staff across the entire BD lifecycle to initiate and grow Pyramid’s portfolio of Federal business.
    • Works proactively with Pyramid’s Technology department to create customer-specific strategies.
    • Collaborates with Pyramid’s marketing department to strategically market Pyramid.

    External Relationship Management

    • Meets with existing and potential customers in conjunction with Pyramid’s technology and program departments to understand our customers’ IT needs and challenges.
    • Develops new and manages existing partnerships with other Federal Government contractors.

    Qualifications

    Business Development:

    • Experience with the full range of BD and capture tasks and activities.
    • Experience managing a qualified pipeline of short- and long-term opportunities.
    • Demonstrated record of increasing revenue by generating opportunity leads.
    • Professional training or experience in BD and capture management.

     

    Proposals:

    • Demonstrated successful win rate on proposal submissions.
    • Experience supporting multiple, concurrent proposal efforts.
    • Familiarity with the Government FAR.

    Communication:

    • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in communicating and collaborating with executive leadership to align future opportunities with the overall corporate strategy.
    • Strong experience in relationship building.

    Technology:

    • Knowledgeable on IT terms, processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle.
    • Experience in agile methodologies, modernization, O&M, IT strategy, cloud solutions, IT infrastructure, and program management support.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    Years if Experience:

    • 5+ years if experience in the Federal IT market
