  • Overview

    Pyramid Systems is looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Architect to lead and support Pyramid Innovation Lab initiatives. This is a new role that will involve collaborating with all delivery-focused teams to identify innovation opportunities, prototype new ideas and evangelize adoption. As a hands-on engineer, the Senior Technical Architect will support introduction of new technologies and institutionalize modern agile development practices.


    • Lead and support Pyramid Innovation Lab initiatives that span incubation prototyping and tool development.
    • Lead and support technical hackathon challenge events involving hands-on software development and engineering.
    • Engage delivery teams to identify and incubate lean startup projects centered around innovation and modernization.
    • Spearhead introduction of new technologies and practices that can tangibly advance our customer’s mission.
    • Be the servant leader and coach of a DevOps team, manage resource constraints and resolve impediments to success.


    • 8+ years as hands-on software engineer developing  new applications using modern open source stacks.
    • Deep expertise in one or more of the following Java, Spring, Node.JS, Python and/or Go.
    • Solid understanding of both relational (MySQL and similar) and schema-less (MongoDB and similar) databases.
    • Ardent practitioner of XP with demonstrable experience applying TDD and CI/CD practices.
    • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform – AWS, Azure, and/or Heroku.
    • Collaborative team player and an efficient communicator with an infectious can-do attitude.


    • Bachelors and/or Masters in Computer Science or related degree.
