  • Overview

    Pyramid Systems internal Information Technology team is growing and we are actively looking for a network administrator to join our team. The Network Administrator is a critical member of our small team providing, maintaining and supporting the infrastructure systems and technology services within the IT Department, including the network, servers, and cloud hosting environments. The primary role of the Network Administrator is to analyze, design, develop, and maintain both hardware and software needed for network communications including servers, local area networks (LANs), and other data communication systems.


    This position will include implementing and managing solutions for hosting various systems and services, security monitoring and compliance, development of DevOps capability and systems, managing infrastructure upgrade and replacement projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining Active Directory/DNS/Group Policy, CheckPoint firewalls, Dell switches, DRaaS, and cloud hosting environments, preferably AWS & Azure.
    • Design, implement, and manage architecture for remote application development access in AWS and Azure environments, or similar technologies.
    • Work with the software development team to implement DevOps technologies for continuous build and integration.
    • Assist Helpdesk with Tier 2/3 problems and troubleshooting.
    • On call and weekend maintenance work is required.


    • 5-7 years maintaining a network infrastructure.
    • Excellent customer service skills including interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Works well alone and in a team environment.
    • In-depth understanding of information security compliance.
    • Hands on experience with supporting a HA VMWare 6.x environment and spinning up AWS and Azure systems.
    • Experience with Microsoft server and desktop operating systems including Windows, Linux, and OSx.
    • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools).
    • Solid background in network administration and architecture.
    • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP).
    • Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.
    • Understanding of CheckPoint firewalls, VPN communications, and VoIP communications.
    • Ability to plan and schedule work priorities to meet deadlines and emergencies.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve hardware/software problems.

    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology is preferred.
