Overview

The purpose of this project is to design, build, operate, and maintain a workforce management system for the DHS.  The system will be built on a .NET/Microsoft technology stack and will allow personnel to record their time and attendance as well as verify necessary certifications. DHS personnel will be able to use the system to verify personnel data and run reports. The development team will use agile development principles and will work collaboratively at Pyramid HQ (Fairfax, VA). The business analyst will Gather, review, analyze, evaluate and translate business requirements and functions to well organized specifications.

Responsibilities

  1. Understand user problems and gather user requirements;
  2. Perform analyses of user/business problems and requirements and work with technical writers to develop business specifications and process documentation
  3. Reviews and analyzes system problems to identify solutions.
  4. Prepare instruction and process manuals.
  5. Evaluate procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure they are up to date and reflect newly adapted practices.
  6. Develop, maintain and review workflow and scheduling requirements.

Qualifications

Eduation: 

Bachelors Degree

 

U.S Citizenship Required 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:               

  1. 1 year experience in informational technology, business, or related field.
  2. Good written and verbal interpersonal skills to building relationships with users, customers and suppliers.
  3. Understand and learn a variety of business procedures and processes.
  4. Good analytical skills; detail oriented.
  5. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and other office tools.
  6. Basic understanding of software engineering practices and methodologies.
  7. Experience collaborating in an agile environment.
