Overview

The Solution Architect is responsible for providing technical writing and guidance to our government clients in the design, architecture, user interface, and technology integration of projects. The candidate will also serve as an interface with client technology and project management teams. The Solution Architect will be the voice of technology providing broad technical advice, technology trends, system agnostic evaluations and industry best practices to our government clients in the administration of systems/software development project.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the client's IT and PM organizations regarding the establishment of technology and acquisition strategies
  • Assess technology trends and provide industry best practices and solution agnostic advice
  • Establish strategic level plans and advise on technical direction
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-wide trends
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development estimation effort for projects and work to identify and manage technical risk
  • Successful candidate should have:

    • Approximately 5-7 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and /or interactive design and architecture experience

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Experience providing a vision to the total solution and defining a comprehensive solution leading toward a common vision
  • Ability to research and assess strategic technology trends in an objective fashion, acting as a trusted advisor to the client in the expenditure of government funds in the most practical and effective manner
  • Strong communication, visual presentation and technical writing skills are a must
  • Must have three years of US residency and be eligible a government Public Trust security clearance
  • Experience as technical lead across the full lifecycle for software development project.
  • Strong skills to effectively interface with client executives and multi-disciplined development
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, including client relationships and small team facilitation
  • Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communications skills
  • General understanding of the business environment, models and motivations
  • Good business analysis/redesign skills with architecture and implementation experience
  • Requirements analysis, conceptual, logical and detailed design skills
